Adam Wasserman, Founder & Board Chair
Adam Wasserman is the Founder and Board Chair of Finpublica. With more than two decades of legal, financial services, and nonprofit experience, Adam is dedicated to working with finance leaders to help them, their companies, and the industry pursue sustainability and responsible investing focused on both value and values.
Adam previously spent more than seven years as the Head of Enforcement of the New York Stock Exchange – where he rebuilt its market regulation department and led its preeminent enforcement program. Adam also served as a litigation partner for a leading global law firm, where he represented financial services clients in institution defining matters, led the New York office’s award-winning pro bono program, and was recognized for his “experienced, sage counsel.”
Adam was selected as one of 20 executives from around the world to participate in the Aspen Institute’s Finance Leaders Fellowship – focused on promoting public-spirited leadership in finance and society. He has emerged as a leader on sustainable finance issues – founding ESG Encouragement – the predecessor to Finpublica. Adam is also the former Board Chair of Knology – a not-for-profit organization focused on leveraging social science research to support the environment, culture, and financial inclusion.
Adam is a graduate of Pomona College and Harvard Law School. He lives in the suburbs of New York, with his family and a cavapoo named Hamilton.
